MEET DAVID
David Rose was born in Louisville, KY and lived in the Bluegrass State for all of his childhood. During his teenage and young adult years, David responded to several external challenges by falling into a destructive pattern of behavior that would not only get him in early trouble with the law, but also have him questioning the meaning and purpose of life itself. From these dark times in his early life, David found purpose and hope through a personal faith encounter that changed his path, saved his soul - and gave him renewed purpose for the rest of his life.
Pastor David Rose has committed the rest of his life to helping others find the hope, meaning, and purpose he found from some of life’s lowest places as a young adult. Now, David Rose is an ordained pastor in the Church of God, holding the title of Bishop within the denomination. With a total of 10 years of pastoral experience, he has served as a Lead Pastor for 8 years and a Youth Pastor prior to that. Currently, David leads Restoration Hope Church in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, which began as a Church Plant in 2020, initially meeting in his home before expanding to parks and Hotel Conference rooms. In early 2022, the church secured its current location.
Prior to his role at Restoration Hope Church, he successfully pastored another Church Plant in Kentucky.
In addition to his role as Lead Pastor, Pastor David is active in his community and the Church of God denomination. He serves as the Vice President of London Bridge Christian Churches, a collaborative effort among local pastors to promote unity in Lake Havasu City's faith community; and serves on the Board for River City United Way. Furthermore, he contributes to the Church of God denomination at the state level, serving on the Division of Care Board, the Church Planting and Revitalization Board, and the Arizona COG State Council.
Pastor David's guiding verse is Matthew 25:35-37 (NIV), which emphasizes helping those in need, especially the homeless, victims of domestic violence, youth trying to find their way as David once did, and the elderly.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
He has established a Food Pantry named Ruth's Pantry and partnered with City Serve International to assist people in need with household items. This includes those affected by disasters like fires and floods, as well as individuals seeking to rebuild their lives after escaping domestic violence, trafficking, or homelessness.
Additionally, he is developing a program to serve the homeless in Lake Havasu through mobile shower stations, hot meals, and shelter opportunities during severe weather conditions.
Outside of his ministerial activities, Pastor David prioritizes his family life. He is a loving husband to his wife, Crystal, and a proud father of three wonderful children: Olivia, Christopher, and Crista.
